Tobert Trujillo rose to fame after he was the bassist for crossover thrash band, Suicidal Tendencies from 1989 to 1995. During the same period, he collaborated with Suicidal Tendencies frontman Miku Mur for funk metal supergroup Infectious Grooves.
Talking about his early life, Trujillo’s father was born in Santa Monica, California. He is a Mexican and Native American descent and he grew up in Culver City, California.
His father was a teacher at Cuvier City High School. Trujillo gained an interest in music during his childhood and his mother was there to encourage him. He loved jazz from a young age and developed interested to the music and instruments.
