Following the launch of Prime Video in one of Africa’s biggest markets: Nigeria, the streaming service has been working overtime to incorporate itself into the country’s culture. The latest move from Prime Video was the star-studded #PrimeVideoExperience which took place at Eko Hotels on Sunday, 14th of August, 2022.

Hosted by Nigerian entertainment mogul, Darey, and the digital voice assistant, Alexa, the event was a mix of colorful outfits, beautiful music, a movie-inspired six-course menu, and most importantly, a captivating lineup of Prime Video original projects.

The event kicked off with the blue carpet at 6 pm. In no time it was filled with celebrities all looking their best while giving in to the demands of the paparazzi who took beautiful pictures and gave delightful interviews.

The list of celebrities on the blue carpet includes M.I Abaga, Funke Akindele, Sola Sobowale, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Beverly Naya, Tobi Bakre, and Femi Adebayo, Niyi Akinmolayan, Mr. Macaroni, Basketmouth, Dorathy, Adunni Ade, Deyemi Okanlawon, Rita Dominic, Genoveva Umeh, amongst others.

The path to the hall was beautifully decorated in Prime Video-inspired designs, which served as a space for celebrities to take personal pictures and socialize.

At 8 pm the hall was packed with guests and executives for the main event. There were six main movies/series to experience, each with its inspired course meal. The list includes The Terminal List, All or Nothing: Arsenal, Harlem, The Boys, King of Thieves, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

The event also had a musical performance from LOUD, who performed some of Nigeria’s biggest hits with a mix of the gospel. Asa closed the event with a performance of her hit songs, Bibanke, Good Times, and Show Me Off.
